CARRYING THE MESSAGE FOR YOUR HEALTH, HAPPINESS AND HOPE
Through IHI's research on intestinal function/disease and diet, and how they affect overall health, Dr. Fine realized the necessity to educate the general public and medical community on these topics. Through several educational initiatives, Dr. Fine and the IHI regularly carry this message for a healthier America and a healthier you. Dr. Fine travels the country speaking to medical and lay groups about IHI's research. In addition, through e-mail and our web site, IHI's staff is available with nutritional and other health information. To stay on the cutting edge, we are constantly researching and developing new information to help you make healthier choices, and new strategies to bring this material to you. One of these ways is to incorporate music into our educational programs, allowing the IHI to uniquely teach children and adults how to live not only healthier lives, but happier ones as well. Whether in the laboratory, in the community or in the classroom, IHI is working for your Health, Happiness, and Hope!

"GET ON A MISSION OF NUTRITION"
Childhood obesity is a national public health crisis. And sadly, being overweight in childhood often leads to be being an overweight adult. A healthier America for the future must begin with our children today. IHI has developed a multimedia health educational campaign called "Get on a Mission of Nutrition" directed at grade schoolers and their parents. The curriculum centers around music and lyrics written and professionally recorded by Dr. Fine that educate children about nutrition and healthier lifestyles in a fun and easy-to-learn format. In addition to the music, the curriculum includes a DVD, an interactive website, illustrated written materials for kids and parents, and community events promoting healthier lifestyles. Over the last year, this musical educational program has appeared in science museums and schools around the country.. For more information about "Get on a Mission of Nutrition", please go to www.intestinalhealth.org/Music .

Stay tuned for announcement of more upcoming seminars, speaking dates, and "Get on a Mission of Nutrition" performances!
